Agents of BIFROST
My dear agent, even Freud says sometimes a Gun is just a Gun. And this is… Just a Gun.
The M1911 was a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, recoil-operated pistol chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. It served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1986, and was first used in later stages of the Philippine-American War. It saw significant use in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
As all things must, eventually the M1911 was phased out, and replaced by the Beretta M9. However, the reliability and dependability of the M1911 has caused some special forces to prefer the “old faithful”. So we here at SHIELD commissioned Colt to make an easy-to-maintain custom variant of the Classic M1911A1 Military Issue side arm, which we call the M1911sv (SHIELD Variant).
The pistol features a 127mm barrel, bored to .45ACP ammunition. It has a height of 133mm and a total length of 210mm. Its ammunition capacity is 8 in the clip, and as with most automatic sidearms, a brave Agent can hold “one in the chamber”. The pistol also features a grip safety, slide stop, half cock position, and a manual safety (located on the left-side of the frame). The Colt M1911sv also boasts a Left Handed variant, with the shell eject and manual safety mechanisms on the opposite side to a regular pistol.
