The SPR 09 Personal Communications system is a state of the art Radio Frequency communicator. It has been field tested in some of the harshest environments on earth and has seen successful tactical use in the wake of the Superhuman Registration Act.

Custom fitted to the agent’s cranial contours, the SPR 09 is lightweight and comfortable for long-term usage. It features a secure behind-the-ear design with extended boom microphone with noise canceling features. Like many devices designed here at Q Branch, this communications gear is completely self-contained, with no power cores for the agent to ever worry about removing. It is powered by an induction system which absorbs ambient energy from the wearer as well as the environment around them at all times. This reduces the chance that the system will run out of power at an inopportune time to practically nonexistent.

The headset itself connects to a small (handheld) Radio unit which is stored within the Agents Webbing (or a pocket for those plain clothed Agents). The radio unit can be used as a standard walkie-talkie, should anything happen to the headset.

With the most recent generation of Tactical Communications Firmware, the SPR 09 is now capable of broadcasting (and receiving) a signal over any Broadcast Spectrum frequency. Agents are advised to be careful with of transmitting within the television and commercial radio broadcast frequencies as these bands are not secure.
