I am (Area Commander) Timothy Aloysius Cadwallader Dugan, but you can call me “Dum-Dum”, and I’ll be your Commanding Officer while you learn the ropes of being Helicarrier Agents. It’s not a great job, but try not to bugger it up too much, and I’ll work with you as best I can. However, this bird is my baby, and if you put her in danger, put my men at unnecessary risk, or break the law, you won’t have to worry about Old Nick finding out, because I’ll bust you down to Level Zero and assign you permanent latrine duty, am I clear?
We are the Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-enforcement Division. Though to many in the organisation, that sounds “way too sixties”, so we also answer to the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Directorate. The use of the word Homeland annoys me. I’ve spoken to Nick about it, but apparently, we need to appease the American public, despite the fact we’re an international organisation. Damn suits.
You’re a lucky group of Agents. Well, twice over, in fact. Not only have you gotten me as your C.O., but you’re also being stationed on the newly completed Asgard-Class Helicarrier Bifrost. My Bifrost is a wonder of engineering and magiotechnological research and design. I’ll talk more about it as we go on. But for now, just think of the ship as “Home” for the next 4 years.
Nick has given me permission to get you settled in and equip you for your first mission, so if you head over to Q BRANCH we’ll get you all set up with your Standard Issue Equipment.
